POLICY · METHODOLOGY v1.0

Methodology

Methodology version 1.0. It describes how we select sources, verify claims, review services and handle corrections.

Source selection

We start from primary sources: government authorities, EU institutions, regulatory texts and official guidance. Secondary sources are used only to locate the primary source, never as the sole basis for a factual claim.

Fact-checking

  • Every material claim is linked to a source with a retrieval date.
  • We distinguish in the text between fact, analysis, opinion and provider-reported information.
  • Claims we cannot verify are removed or labelled unverified.
  • We do not quote statements we cannot substantiate against the source.

Check dates and freshness

Every published article shows the publication date, latest update and fact-check date. When a check is older than 180 days, the article is flagged as needing a refresh, both with a label and in plain text.

Service reviews

A review is only published once the entity's legal identity, jurisdiction and licence are verified against an official source and every claim is documented in an evidence table. Ratings default to null and are never shown without evidence. At launch, no reviews have been published.

Corrections and updates

Factual errors are corrected as soon as they are confirmed. The correction is logged in the article and in the corrections log with a date and description. Pure language edits are not logged.
